Creating Valuable People Relations Part 3

So the question is how do you productively make use of humans as an asset? It might sound morally wrong to use the phrase, “use people,” but that is the reality. Day in, day out people are making use of each other. The question is how. First of all be deliberate. Know what you want to achieve and how, then look for the people that can do it. When you have done that think of how a beneficial relationship can be developed for both parties to the relationship. John        C Maxwell advises, “Think win win” in any relationship you have, seek to benefit as the other person benefits as well. If people think that you are only interested in using them to achieve your own goals, they don’t cooperate, but if you indicate how mutually benefiting a relationship will be you get maximum cooperation.
To get peoples’ attention you need to understand them. When you understand them you know their interests and concerns. Only when you know the concerns of people, and understand their interests then you will be able to effectively reach out to them.
Be able to effectively communicate what you want from people. I see a lot of people who have trouble communicating what they want and in turn they don’t get what they want. Highlight clearly what you seek from any cooperation in the beginning of it to avoid any disappointments.
People need to be respected. You cannot get what you want from people if you do not show them respect. I have learnt to always put myself under any person I meet so that I get all they have. If you want to show a person that you know better than them, they won’t share with you what they have. If you give a person the impression that what you have is more than they have they won’t give you what they have.
I will end here for purposes of this article, for those who want to share and discuss more on this article or further develop it you can comment indicating an interest then we get in touch. I hope you find this helpful and that you embark on the task of creating valuable people relations. People are the most important resource on earth.
